About Vivi

Vivi is a global visionary in menstrual justice, SRHR and gender equality. She is a human rights activist and previously served as the Youth Advisor to the Premier and Ministers of Taiwan’s Cabinet. Born and raised in Taiwan, she is now based in both London and Taipei.

Since 2019, her pioneering non-profit, With Red, has positively impacted millions of people. To augment her advocacy for menstrual justice, Vivi later established the “Period Museum”, the world’s sole bricks-and-mortar museum of its kind. She also co-introduced the first-ever Asian university-level “menstruation” course at National Taiwan University along with the convening team, where she currently serves as a industry lecturer.

She has extensive experience advising local and national governments. Her policy focus includes education, culture, foreign affairs, health, and social policy, with an emphasis on inclusive policymaking approaches.

As a global youth icon, Vivi has been honoured with accolades including the Forbes 30 Under 30, Diana Legacy Award, Tatler Gen T, Dazed Asia 100, and Youth of the Year Taiwan. Her remarkable contributions have also been spotlighted in renowned publications.

Dedicated to creating social impact and raising awareness, Vivi frequently delivers keynote addresses. She has given 200+ speeches, and penned 300+ articles and blogs on various subjects, inspiring millions across the world.

Vivi’s academic background lies in public policy, gender studies, and global health. She earned her Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Oxford, where she was awarded the Jardine Scholarship. Additionally, she holds a BSc in Infectious Diseases with first-class honors from the University of Edinburgh. Notably, she is also the first Taiwanese graduate of United World College Maastricht in the Netherlands.
